The December fencing calendar features a few events that may be of interest to Excelsior fencers, including several Just-For-Fun (JFF) tournaments:

First, on Friday, December 11th, Wesdale Fencing Club will be hosting Friday Night Foil Fun JFF at their location in Hamilton.

Second, on the weekend of December 12th-13th, Cutting Edge Fencing Club/Bayridge Fencing Club will be hosting Frosty Fencing Challenge, a Youth/Veterans tournament in Kingston. Please note, there is no Senior level competition.

Third, on Saturday, December 12th, Toronto Fencing Club will be hosting Winter Epeedemic JFF at their location in Toronto.

Fourth, on Saturday, December 19th, Toronto Fencing Club will be hosting Winter Foil for Fun JFF at their location in Toronto.

Fifth, On Sunday, December 20th, Swordplayers Fencing Club will be hosting League of Champions – Sagittarius Cup (Epee) at their location in Toronto.

Guest Speaker: Canadian Olympian Josh McGuire

Tonight, Excelsior Fencing Club is proud to present a speaking engagement with Josh Mcguire of the Canadian Fencing Team that competed in Beijing in 2008. Come out to hear about Josh’s Olympic experience and ask questions. Please be at the gym by 7:30 pm. Hope you can make it out!
